Cold Water Exposure

Introduction to cold water exposure is perfect for those new to cold water, wanting to dip their toe into the cold for the first time, and also experienced dippers wanting to further their practice.

The benefits to cold water exposure are endless, including boosting your immune system, improved circulation, deepens sleep, boosting energy levels, reduced inflammation, improved metabolic function, builds a resilience to stress, helps with anxiety and depression, improved mood, stimulates weight loss.

Reasons to give cold water exposure a try!

As well as all of the benefits listed above, also connect with like minded people, explore self limiting beliefs, finding the confidence and courage within yourself to overcome any discomfort or fears that can come up in everyday life.

This introduction will include the teaching of breathwork techniques to create energy and heat within the body, teaching you how to control your breath as you brave the cold. Then putting these techniques into practice as you step into the cold water, breaking barriers and pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone, becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable!

Olly Atman Ellis ~ Facilitator of Atman mens circles and healing sound journeys

@olly_atman_ellis on social media's

I have been on an inwards journey of self discovery and have overcome many adversities, addictions, depression, suicidal tendencies and operations as a result of many traumas during my life...

A time came where everything around me had fallen apart, I lost my family and my daughter to a break up and I had to decide whether I lived or died... Thankfully I chose to live and I took myself away on a psychoactive therapeutic plant medicine retreat with nothing to lose, which was the beginning of my Ayahuasca journeys and the start of my recovery that ultimately saved my life 6 years ago.

I found a new love for life and myself and I began to live as my authentic self, not as a character or image that I had created from conditioning, social pressures, sigmas and sterotypes. I continued my journey with Ayahuasca retreats and plant other medicines going deeper in to my shadows cleansing myself from addictions and traumas which has left me as my true self and free from my past.

Also during the struggle I became interested in mind body and soul and I decided to start yoga, meditation and other eastern traditions, which kept me focused on staying true to me and kept me from relapsing, I also discovered alternative healing methods such as breath work and cold water exposure, also sound healing all of which helped me to never go back to my dark times.

I have been very fortunate to meet and be taught by some amazing yoga teachers at some beautiful studios over the years. One of those is with us for the retreat Robin Aurora which iam very excited about as he also taught me to hand stands aswell as Ashtanga yoga.

From my experiences with plant medicine and South American shamanic traditions I also unearthed my love for making music and the healing powers of sound vibrations and drumming. I worked closely with a friend, who became a brother, who became a guru and became a shaman to me, triggering me and encouraging me in to healing. I was blessed to be able to hold space and provide sound healing with him at his events for people, and I received much healing from being on both sides of those events.

After losing a lot of friends and men that I knew well to suicide and drink and drug abuse, I had a calling to support and help men and the masculine, by creating a safe space and group where men can come... to connect,support, be supported, share knowledge and wisdom, a chance to be heard and respected.

Our aim for this event is to empower, encourage and provide some real life and relatable alternative perspectives and experiences from each other. Although this event is an investment in yourself... to challenge the self and the idea of self... No one will be forced to take part in anything do not wish to.

We hope you can join us and we look forward to meeting you
